Gjett hvem som fikk tapetsert i går! / Guess who got her wall wallpapered yesterday??

Min kjære svigerfar kom og tapetserte den siste stripen håndtverkerne ikke fikk tatt pga tapetfadesen. Er utrolig fornøyd med veggen!

My dear Father in Law wallpapered the last strip yesterday, and I'm so excited about the result!

This picture is actually an old newspaper ad that I bought in Antibes, France when I was 19 ten years ago. I bought three cutouts, one from the 30s, one from the 40s and one from the 50s. They're all framed in vintage frames found in different Antique stores. This is the smallest one and is actually from a magazine. The other two you'll see in later posts.

This replica of a painting is in horrible shape and not worth a single dime. For some reason I love the old "wreck". It reminds me of Brudeferden i Hardanger, you can click here to see what it looks like.

When you're not paying for the wallpapering, you can't demand that the job is finished in one day. So wall no 2 and 3 are still bare. Hopefully we'll get them finished by February... And a HUGE thank you to my Father in Law for stepping up and getting the job done!

Lauren, I totally agree, it is fantastic being a mom! And good to hear that I'm not the only one loving that old painting :)

Things That Inspire, I love the pattern as well, it gets better by the day! The color is some kind of greyishly blue. It's called Soft Aqua, which is kind of incorrect. Aqua has more green in it. I would say that the color sample shown on Schumacher is pretty accurate.; January 23, 2009 at 7:50 PM
