An award! And 7 random things about me :)

The lovely NY based interior designer Victoria from the fabulous blog Art House Design has given me the Kreativ Blogger award! Thank you so much, I definitely feel honored! She mentioned the K in creative being so familiar because of her German mother tongue. Well, creative is spelled kreativ in Norwegian as well!

As part of the award I get to share seven things about myself :)

1. I can drive a tractor and plow a field. I learned it when I lived in Murtaugh, Idaho at the tender age of 18. I was a foreign exchange student in the smallest town ever (pop: 432) and had a blast!

2. For some reason, people are always totally surprised when they find out that my favorite kind of music is hip hop / rap. I love Jay Z, vintage Pharcyde tracks (like drop, running, passin me by), Wu Tang Clan... The list is long!

3. This is my style.. I'm one of those girls that are always slightly overdressed. LOVE high heels and fun, quirky color combos.

4. I have the most beautiful fiance and a daughter that's 1,5 years old. In 3-5 weeks we're welcoming a new little girl to the family.

5. My biggest passion (except for my family) is interior design. I devour books, blogs and magazines on the subject. And there's always projects going on at home :)

Before and after: IKEA hack! Kids rooms chairs / Før og etter: IKEA barnestoler

The materials / Materialene:

I just found this fabulous store that sells spray cans to grafitti artists. They have a ridiculous selection of color, and the staff is really fabulous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Oslo Kunstmateriell if you're planning on spraying ANYTHING. The cans are NOK 40 (USD 6.50) a piece, which is nothing. It really does cover very well, and you only need one coat. And since it is grafitti paint, you know it isn't going anywhere - no more chipped paint! :D

I glued this stuff on to the seat of the chair, to make it more comfortable to sit on.

Ever Forget About the Fifth Wall...? / Den femte veggen

The ceiling is in my opinion the most overlooked part of a decor. I've gathered some examples of why it's so important not to ignore your fifth wall.
