From the Blog Roll: Huset på Planen!
Welcome to our newest series here on Scandinavian Chic, “From the Blog Roll” We’ll be introducing you to the fabulous guys and gals behind the über chic blogs on our blog roll, and show you their HOMES (YAY!) and maybe even their wardrobes (!!). We’re very excited to introduce you to the first one out – Huset på Planen!
Who: An interior- and food loving girl with three kids, husband, dogs and hens in her garden.
What: The blogger behind Huset på Planen
Blogs about: Her old house, which formerly was a pottery, her cabins and cooking.
Describe your style in four words!
Simple, soft, natural and modern
<Her stunning summer home (filled to the RIM with Scandinavian design classics), designed by the Norwegian Thomas Lærdal / Filter Arkitekter>
What item in your house do you treasure the most?
One of our paintings painted by Herbert Thoma.
<Can you spot the classics?? Here she has everything from Iittala’s KIVI candle holders, to the 7 chair to mid century Danish light fixtures>
How do you incorporate Scandinavian design in your home and wardrobe?
I am so lucky that I have inherited a lot of design pieces from my MIL. Lamps and chairs are my favorite items.
What’s your latest purchase?
A huge lambskin in a beautiful dark honey colour.
What’s your favorite Scandinavian Design Classic?
Poul Kjærholms simple PK22 chair, and Arne Jacobsens elegant Vola design.
<Her fabulous PK22 chairs were inherited from her mother in law. I would definitely love to inherit some classics as well!>
Favorite Scandinavian Magazines?
I read a lot of interior magazines, but I think Elle Interiør, Danish Bolig Magasinet and Bo Bedre are on the top of my list.
What’s your favorite store?
Møbelgalleriet in Stavanger and Norway Designs in Oslo and Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen.
Best décor / style / beauty advise?
Mix old and new things and buy your stuff in different shops. Natural wear and tear on natural materials.
Thank you SO much for participating, Huset på Planen! We’re TOTALLY jealous of all your fabulous Scandinavian design classics!!! Wanna see more of her gorgeous summer home? It's published in the current issue of Maison!
xoxo
PS - While waiting for the next chic home we'll be revealing, remember to check out our blog roll!

what a fun series of posts, girls! loving it and thank you for introducing me to great blogs such as this one!
Oh, this is awesome! I love this idea, I love to meet new bloggers, and I am off to check them out! XO!
I love the clean natural Scandinavian style. Thanks for the inspiring pictures! Do you happen to know some good furniture shops in Tallinn, Estonia? We have our first job there, and are heading out in 2 weeks to do some shopping. Very excited, would love some tips.

How much fun!!! Love this series...Dagny, I'm gonna copy this series in August when you're done with you're home :) Julie
Ludmila - we have lots of amazing homes coming up!!
Shari - yay!! :D
Liz - I've never been to Estonia, but Ludmila from Creamylife.com (first commenter may very well have some ideas). How exciting with a decorating job over there!!
Julie - Of course!!! :)
Her var det mye flott og for en fantastisk beliggenhet!
I am also an addict to home decorating magazines. I love Vakre Hjem & Interiør, Klassiska Hem & Antik, Magasinet Jeanne d'Arc Living to name a few.
There are so many available today and they are all so deliciously inspiring.
I love the pictures.
