The Color of 2011!

Pantone just named Honeysuckle pink as the color of the year 2011!

And needless to say, I'm on the same page :)

I used to literally hate pink, but lately I’ve been warming up to it. I recently painted my credenza hot pink, and I’m totally loving it! It gives you so many styling options, and there’s a huge opportunity to have lots of fun with the decor.

I just ordered this pillow from Mariska Meijers, which will be a chic pop of color in the couch.

Pink can also be pretty neutral, as you can see here in this set of fine bone china from Finnish Elinno. You have no idea how GOOD your food looks on these plates!

If you’re not ready to commit to a pink piece of furniture, but is infatuated by the color, why not start with some fresh flowers like below?

Nita {ModVintageLife} said...: Pink has been in my home for quite some time. My sofa and chair in the living room are pink. My ceiling in the dining room are pink. Not a pale pink but almost the exact shade that Pantone picked for this year. I recovered the sofa in pink about 4 years ago. And painted the ceiling shortly after. I have not shown the ceiling yet on my blog because I am painting all the furniture in there but will show soon.
