We arrived at 3-ish and were told it was a forty-minute wait for a table for two. It was PACKED. Tons of dates, friends hanging out after a good Saturday night out and of course families filled it to the rim inside and outside.

We waited wine in hand at the bar. It´s such a gorgeous place takes me back to Paris in an instant (and a French restaurant in Oslo which I also loooove). I love everything French. French food, French wine, French cheese, French fashion, French cities, French kissing…In general – you get the idea. So Pastis was perfect to that feeling of France in New York. The décor is very old French with run-down brick walls, old fashioned mirrors and just so lovely rustic.

And the food – wow! We had the croque Monsieur and the foie gras with Sancerre. So tasty! Of course a little bit pricy, but excellent and surely worth a visit.
