Moth Love

Did you know that the moth has a lot of strikingly beautiful shapes, patterns and colors? Unlike it's cousin, the butterfly, we don't really appreciate the beauty of the moth. Did you know that the Art Nouveau period was hugely inspired by the moths shape? If you pay close attention, you'll se it in jewelry, mirrors and furniture.

These paintings by Australian Allyson Reynolds are simply to die for.

Redlilocks {Swoon Worthy} said...: Absolutely love them. There are some really beautiful moths in the UK. When I lived in the States, they were just brown and kind of boring but here they come as lovely as butterflies.
