The wallpaper is up! Things are going in a slow pace at Casa de Thurmann-Hoelseth these days, but the wallpaper is FINALLY up, now we're waiting on drapes (curtains), curtain rods, new pillows (hssss!) and new vintage dining room chairs, which will all get a plum paint job. :)

Sorry about the bad pic, was taken in a hurry before I jetted off to work. The urn will also be getting a paint job ;)

It's all about the details

It's all about the details by scandinavianchic featuring tote hand bags

To me, a good outfit is all about the details. The perfect bag, the perfect shoes, or as in this case, the perfect earrings. I completely fell head over heels with the these Beauty earrings from Sheyna. The colors are perfect for all seasons, and you can dress dress them up or down.

I love the contrast between the outfit and the large MJ hobo bag, which has a color that is in the same family as the dress (which again plays on the gold in the earrings).

base fall/winter is OUT

My day job as a Creative Director for Fargerike, Norway's biggest wallpaper, paint, fabric & flooring chain, is LOADS of fun! We offer interior design services and color consultancy, and have a passion for colors. One of my responsibilities is our inspiration magazine, where we show our clients homes, our staff's homes, interesting color palettes and wallpapers (we LOVE wallpapers).

SC IN NYC: Fashion Night Out, baby!

Fashion Week really is a crazy week in the city. Beautiful people everywhere - dressed to perfection. I had my good friend Linn Sollied Madsen visiting from Norway and we decided to go on a little fashion spree trough the city last week.

Here we are at Prada on 5th ave. Having lots of champagne and oohing over all the gorgeous designs.

The thing about Fashion Night Out, which is the day before all the runway shows are on, brings the fashionistas to the streets. 5th Avenue filled up with lots of great looking people - and all the stores were open till late. But the best part - all the free goodies! We got our nails done and tried on lovely creams from Thérapie on Upper West Side. We could have gotten our make-up done at Armani and hair done too. And of course nice prices in most stores too.

Bloomingdales filled their huge windows with beautiful models.

Brides popping up all of a sudden.

Models at Gucci.

It´s amazing how the stores turn into party central. Loved it!

What a great night!

Moth Love

Did you know that the moth has a lot of strikingly beautiful shapes, patterns and colors? Unlike it's cousin, the butterfly, we don't really appreciate the beauty of the moth. Did you know that the Art Nouveau period was hugely inspired by the moths shape? If you pay close attention, you'll se it in jewelry, mirrors and furniture.
