Today I launched a project at work that I've been working on since January (with the very talented Making Waves). Our (Fargerike's) new website!!
If I haven't told you about my day job before, it's as Creative Director for Fargerike, Norway's biggest paint, wallpaper, fabric and flooring chain. We also have a large number of ridiculously talented interior designers working in our stores, so it's safe to say that we have our days filled with colors, colors and MORE colors!
To inspire has been our main goal, and also to make it easier to find the products you like!
Our wallpaper selection is HUGE, and Fargerike alone sells almost 50% of all wallpaper in Norway.
Would LOVE to hear what YOU think about the site!! (design, navigation, inspiration)
ps - kitchen still not done

Sometimes (or very often), it's the finishing touches that makes the difference between a good and a great decor.
These babies just arrived from B&B Sweden - they probably make the most amazing kitchen hardware you can imagine.
They're super heavy.
And I LOVE them!
Can't wait to show the end result! (which will take a while, because we're still waiting for the larger pulls for the full sized cabinets... (sigh)
Now, this (below) is a sneak peek on a little project I'm working on originally for the basement living room, but will most likely end up in our regular living room. Can you guess what it is? ;)
Hope you're week is starting out fabulously!!
(we're off to a flying start, moving into a new HQ, that I worked on the colors with a very talented designer. Will show pics in a few weeks time (not everything is finished there either...)

After I bought our current sofa table, I was deeply disappointed. I have no idea what I was thinking, because it's as far away from my style that you can possibly get (driftwood). In addition to that, it's to long for our sofa, and the symmetry is just off.
This is what our living room looked like a few weeks ago. We've now changed the wallpaper, removed the side table and the zebra cow hide AND all the wall art. The coffe table is my current biggest problem, I really, really, really dislike it, but have not found the perfect replacement (at least not in Norway).
I FOUND IT!
This baby is called Flash, and is designed by the genious Tom Dixon. It has a mirrored bornze top on a brass plated steel base, 80x80 cm, and I love it. Deeply. Since we've just done the kitchen AND the basement, my hubby would have a total fit if I went out and bought it.
So, it's on the top of my wish list for Christimas.
Perfect, isn't it??

Look at these pots! From Swedish Svenskt Tenn, of course. Pay special attention to the small brass pot dishes. I don't think I've ever fallen so hard for a pot. Crazy, isn't it?? They truly are amazingly beautiful, and a perfect fit if you're loving the Scandinavian Maximalism. The pots start at $30 + dishes. Feel like I NEED all of them!!
Check out the full line HERE.
PS - our kitchen is almost finished!!! AND it's turning out EXACTLY like I wanted!!! WOHOOO!!!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Norway's biggest breakfast show, God Morgen Norge, to talk about color and color psychology.
I was pretty nervous to begin with, but am crossing my fingers that it wasn't too obvious. Anyways, the makeup artist was AMAZING, and I just HAD to show you the result! :D
The part where we talk about the fact that blue makes a room seem colder in temperature. Did you also know that peach colored rooms makes people take their clothes off??
My outfit was a fitted knee length dress with three quarter long sleeves in a sparkly charcoal (think Victoria Beckham's line) with nude heels and these $30 earrings from Sheyna: (they look amazing irl! And ships to Norway if you ask them to, for a really good price :))
I also showed a couple of wallpapers, and everyone's favorite was this one:
Isn't it amazing? It's a super neutral shade of pink with a white geometric/organic pattern, mildly influenced by traditional paisley. The biggest inspiration here is ancient arab architecture. The design is by Swedish brand Borås, and the price is nothing less than fantastic. The collection is called Lace, and this particular design has the catching name: 1353. Available from Fargerike.
Have you anything exciting planned out for the weekend??
